Provider Issues
Don't become a statistic or a causality of DEL

In addition to the usual revocations and summary suspensions this week APRE has dealt with the following Provider issues:

  • Sexual allegations against Provider's teenage sons
  • Anger Management/ Mental Evaluation Requests by DCCEL at the expense of the Providers
  • (Allegations made by a licensor that she felt threatened by the Provider)
  • Zoning Issues with City - Limiting Child Care Hours, Mat for Tricycles as a noise control
  • License Suspension as a result of self reporting
  • License suspension as a result of not self reporting
  • Forced Surrender of License / Dual License Issue /Forcing a licensed foster parent to choose between childcare license or foster care license.
  • Child escaping from childcare in the first 1/2 hour of being enrolled/issue of not being able to lock doors/gates
  • Initial licenses being issued to long term Providers as a result of a residential move
  • Whether the biological children of a Provider are governed under the WAC regulations.
  • Whether a provider must sign a FLICA when a plan of correction is not listed or if the Provider disagrees with the violations cited
